I worked with Candace as I wrote my dissertation in partial fulfillment of my PhD in Curriculum Studies. She was an invaluable resource because of her impeccable technical skills, but even more so because of her deep love and talent for teaching writing. Her instructive feedback taught me to be courageous in finding my voice amongst the scholars I so greatly admire. I will continue to use her services and recommend her to all of my colleagues.

Candace’s attention to detail is simply superb! Candace came highly recommended from a colleague who had worked with Candace before and had many great things to say about her skills. I enlisted Candace to edit an academic journal article for my PECTAC instrument. She was professional and encouraging, and she did a wonderful job making sure the abstract was descriptive, complete, yet concise, and that the article itself was grammatical, clear, not too wordy, and aligned with the style guide. Most important to me, I appreciated her ability to relay complex editing concepts to a novice writer like myself. I highly recommend her work to anyone seeking publication in the education field.

Candace actively worked with me on my 120,000-word novel for almost a year and a half. She is a patient and thorough professional. Not only did she offer her brilliant wordsmithing skills to enhance the story’s experience, but she also brought clarity to the plot and depth to the character development. Candace has a kind soul, and it is apparent in every comment and every clarification. Accompanied by her brilliant partner, James, for a final read-through, Candace gave a comprehensive reflection of the book and helped bring each line into a complete story. I am proud to say that my novel is not only in excellent condition, but is under contract with a reputable literary agent.

James is an excellent, professional editor. He assisted me with my medical school application materials, namely my personal statements and secondary essays. With each project, his editing and suggestions were very thorough and extremely effective, helping me to realize the vision I had for each piece. Whilst I have always struggled with writing, James made the process easy and fun, with superb results that retained my original voice.

Candace and James were easy to work with, punctual, and delivered superb work regarding my finalized graduate school application letters (Statement of purpose primarily). As a scientist, my language can be dry and stilted, which stylistically is not what would attract an admissions team at a top performing institution. The result was being accepted to several top tier institutions, all with fully funded programs and generous stipends.

We hired Candace and James to edit our book, a collection of children’s poems written by my great grandmother. We are new at self-publishing, so knowing what kind of editing to request was the first challenge. We had taken several passes through the book to check for obvious problems. We also knew that we did not want the actual poems to be changed. Candace and James arranged for a pre-meeting to discuss what we were looking for and educated us along the way regarding the types of editing. They provided an estimated effort along with cost and a delivery date. They delivered edits that were developmental in nature with the caveat that they very skillfully avoided changing the actual poems. The results were amazing, above and beyond what we were expecting. We employed most of their suggestions and feel that we have a much better book because of their wise and thoughtful input. As a bonus, they delivered on time!

Candace Craig was my trusted editor throughout completion of my doctoral coursework. Her mastery of the conventions of writing, in conjunction with her extensive vocabulary and knowledge of the mechanics of APA format, made her a valuable asset during this process.

I had the pleasure of working with Candace recently when she authored one of our forthcoming guides (English Verbs). Candace is a great communicator, responding quickly to any queries and submitting all materials on time; and her examples for the guide were very interesting, with excellent balance throughout.
